Murder investigation launched after man in his 30s shot dead

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in London.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called to reports of a shooting on Sunday shortly after 11.30pm in the White Hart Lane area of Haringey.

The victim, in his 30s, died at the scene with gunshot wounds, despite the best efforts of emergency services.

The Met said officers believe they know who the deceased is and are working to inform his next of kin.

A post-mortem will be carried out in due course.

A crime scene is in place.

No arrests have been made.
