London’s O2 Arena will host UFC 286 on March 18, the MMA promotion confirmed on Wednesday.

It will be UFC’s third event to be held in London inside 12 months but only the second numbered event in history to the held in the UK. Its last installment was in 2016 as Michael Bisping successfully defended his middleweight title against Dan Henderson at the Manchester Arena.

The card for UFC 286 has yet to be announced.

UFC president Dana White said in a statement: “Everyone knows how much I love our fans in the UK. We had two incredible shows in London in 2022, and this time we’re bringing a world title fight with the biggest and baddest card we could put together at The O2 on March 18.

“The UK MMA scene is exploding with talent right now and I can’t wait to show you guys what we have in store for you next year.”

In August, Leon Edwards became the second British UFC champion in history as he stunned Kamaru Usman to claim the welterweight title.
