England props Mako and Billy Vunipola will leave Saracens at the end of this season, the Premiership club announced on Tuesday.
ESPN reported in March that Billy Vunipola is due to move to French club Montpellier, ending his 11-year stay at the club. Meanwhile, Mako Vunipola leaves after 13 years.
Last week, Billy Vunipola was given a formal warning by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) following his arrest in Mallorca in a pub incident.
He has made 194 appearances for Saracens, winning five Premiership trophies and three European titles, since joining the club in 2013 from Wasps.
He has also won 75 England caps, winning three Six Nations and was part of the side which finished runners-up at the 2019 World Cup. However, he was not selected for this year’s Six Nations.
“It’s been a honour to represent the people and this great club, through the highs and lows I’ve enjoyed it all. I will treasure my time here for the rest of my life,” Billy Vunipola said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Mako Vunipola said: “I’m grateful for everything this club has given me. I’ve grown up at this place and it will be forever in my heart. Thank you.”
Mako Vunipola retired from internationals in January after winning 79 caps. He also won nine caps for the British & Irish Lions, playing in nine successive Test matches across the 2013, 2017 and 2021 tours.
