The Privileges Committee’s partygate inquiry will look into COVID lockdown rule-breaking in Downing Street which resulted in the Metropolitan Police issuing fixed penalty notices to Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak among others.

With the former Prime Minister having previously stated that “all guidance was followed completely”, Mr Johnson will be giving evidence to the committee, which if disputed, could result in a suspension from the Commons.
