Shares of Amazon plunged as much as 16% in extended trading on Thursday after the company posted weaker-than-expected earnings and revenue for the third quarter and gave a disappointing fourth-quarter sales forecast.

  • Revenue: $127.10 billion vs. $127.46 billion, according to Refinitiv estimates
